Finally finished up this 7 ft dining table for a friend of ours. It's made from reclaimed oak from an old smokehouse we got from Good Wood here in east Nashville. It was pretty interesting working with it, it would smell like smoked meat anytime we were sanding or cutting it! We aren't usually a fan of a glossy finish but in this case we really love how it brings out the imperfections and character in the wood. If you look close you can see the antique railroad dated nails that are inlaid into each end of the table to give it even more character.
